This is a bit late in coming. Over the past month I have been really busy with studies and the holidays, but here is my belated Christmas present to the world.
I am proud to announce the beta release for Muon Suite 1.3. The Muon Suite is a set of package management utilities for Debian-based Linux distributions built on KDE technologies. Packages for Kubuntu 11.10 “Oneiric Ocelot” are available in the QApt Experimental PPA.
Several bugs reported since the alpha have been fixed, and the new Updater GUI now shows a nice background that informs you when no updates are available, as opposed to a blank view.
Changelogs
Detailed changelogs for LibQApt and Muon can be found here and here, respectively.

Great news, thanks for the hard work & bug fixes in this release
Better late than never
.
Nice Christmas gift.
Keep up the good work Jonathan.
Are there any specific changes we should be checking? it seems to have updated without my noticing.
Sorry about asking for this here, but could you take a look at bug 905415 in launchpad (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/packagekit/+bug/905415) ?
I think that it might be caused by qapt, because it only happens with muon, and not with synaptic/apt-get/aptitude.
Thanks a lot for your work!
Dammit, my bad, I meant this one (bug# 855793):

Sorry for the spam.
Dunno if you noticed it, but I commented on that bug a while back. It’s not a Muon bug. It’s a bug that also effects PackageKit and is a regression (most likely with dpkg) since 11.04.
@Jonathan: Right, I failed to notice it, sorry.
I hope that dpkg gets fixed soon.
