Muon Suite 1.2 RC released

Just a quick post, since nothing much has changed since beta 2. A final release for version 1.2 of the Muon Suite is scheduled for two weeks from now.

The Muon Package Management Suite is a collection of package management applications that make package management easy on Debian-based systems, whether or not you know what “package management” means. Packages for Kubuntu 11.04 “Natty Narwhal” are available in the QApt Experimental PPA. (Or will be within an hour of this being posted.)

The 1.1.90 release brings updated translations compared to 1.1.85. Detailed logs of what has changed since 1.1.85 can be found here and here, for LibQApt and Muon respectively.

Good news Jonathan. Keep up the good work!

Jonathan, why isn’t muon in debian repositories? I’ve used it on kubuntu and mint and it works great! Is it some political or social reason? I’ve tried the sid repositories and just can’t find it.

    • No, no political reason whatsoever. 🙂

Up until recently there wasn’t anybody to maintain it in Debian. There is now, and packages should be available soon, in the Debian sense of the word. 😉

Dude! You made me sweat bullets for a little while. 🙂
    Tried your app. Liked it.
Looked into History log (CTRL+H) and almost lost my marbles. It reports all sort of activities that didn’t happen. I think there is a date parsing problem.
