Muon Suite 1.3.1 Released

I am glad to announce the first bugfix release for Muon Suite 1.3. The Muon Suite is a set of package management utilities for Debian-based Linux distributions built on KDE technologies.

The 1.3.1 release fixes several issues with handling foreign-architecture packages, as well as several crashes related to fetching reviews/changelogs/pictures from the internet. Additionally, translations have been updated.

Packages for Kubuntu 11.10 are from the QApt repository, and in the main repositories for Kubuntu 12.04.

Further technical information about the release, including source tarball downloads and a detailed changelog, can be found at the project pages here and here.

Exciting things are happening for 1.4, so stay tuned for some blogs on that in the near future!

    Kubuntu 12.04:
I keep getting this message pop up, including right after rebooting and attempting to “Install” from the Update Manager. It ran OK last night do install updates, but the system notifier popped up this morning with more updates; thats when this message began:

“Another application seems to be using the package system at this time. You must close all other package managers before you will be able to install or remove any packages.”

    in Konsole run:

    sudo dpkg –configure -a

    that should fix it

:-/ It’s really frustrating that I can’t see the system package names right away… It’d be nice to have a setting option for that.
